A Colorful Westmount Country Club Indian Wedding
When you plan a multi-day Indian wedding, the venues set the stage for the entire experience. Soumya and Sri nailed this by choosing three distinct spots that gave every part of their celebration its own unique personality. We started the festivities at Soumya’s parents' house for the Haldi and Mehendi ceremonies. They have a big and beautiful backyard that was the perfect setting for these traditional events. It felt incredibly personal to kick off the celebrations at home surrounded by their closest family and friends in such a relaxed environment.
The energy shifted completely for the Sangeet, which was held at Bell Works in Holmdel, NJ. This venue is stunning and unique, but it is perhaps most famous right now as the filming location for the hit show Severance. The modern architecture provided a cool, cinematic backdrop for a night filled with performances and dancing. It was such a fun contrast to the traditional backyard setting from the day before.
Everything culminated on the wedding day at the Westmount Country Club. This venue is known for its elegance, and it certainly delivered. The ceremony took place outdoors on the back patio, which offered a beautiful open-air setting for their vows. Afterward, we moved inside to celebrate in the ballroom. The Westmount has gorgeous indoor spaces, but the ballroom really steals the show with its massive crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. They added a touch of grandeur that matched the vibrant energy of the reception perfectly.
Thank you, Soumya and Sri, for inviting me to document this incredible journey across New Jersey. It was an honor to be part of such a diverse and beautiful celebration.
