A Luxurious South Asian Wedding at Westin Governor Morris and The Legacy Castle

When planning a multi-day South Asian wedding in New Jersey, choosing the right venues makes all the difference. Neeya and Vishal hosted an unforgettable celebration that perfectly balanced vibrant outdoor beauty with grand indoor elegance. We started their wedding week at the Westin Governor Morris in Morristown, New Jersey, for the Haldi and Sangeet. We were blessed with a beautiful sunny spring day, which allowed the couple to host the Haldi outside in front of the venue's picturesque gazebo. Before the Sangeet kicked off that evening, we went exploring for portrait locations and found a hidden path leading to the Morris County Historical Society grounds. The gorgeous Victorian-style home on the property provided a stunning and historic backdrop for Neeya and Vishal's pre-party photos.

The main wedding day took place at the iconic Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains. We woke up to a cloudy and rainy morning, but in my over thirteen years of photographing South Asian weddings, I have learned that a little rain just adds to the romantic atmosphere. The Legacy Castle is built for moments like this. We utilized their regal covered porch area for a completely dry and visually stunning first look. As if on cue, the rain stopped briefly just in time for us to capture some incredible photos outside and to kick off the Baraat. Vishal made an unforgettable entrance rolling up to the castle in a vintage 1936 Auburn Speedster.

Later in the day, we snuck away for some evening photos in a unique bar space within the venue. The room had amazing natural light and featured a rich color palette that perfectly matched the intricate details of Neeya's outfit. It was the perfect quiet moment before the reception festivities truly began. Thank you, Neeya and Vishal, for trusting me to document your luxurious New Jersey wedding celebration.
