A Spectacular South Asian Celebration at The Rockleigh


There is no bigger compliment for a photographer than getting a call from a family you have already worked with. I first met this incredible family a couple of years ago when I photographed Nikki’s wedding. When her cousin Chandani reached out to me for her own celebration with Dharmin, I was absolutely thrilled. It feels like coming home when you walk into a room and already know the parents, the cousins, and the vibe of the family. It allows me to skip the warm-up phase and dive right into capturing the real moments.

Chandani and Dharmin’s celebration was a multi-day affair that took us all across New Jersey, with each venue offering a completely different energy. We kicked things off with the Mehndi event at The Legacy Club in Cherry Hill, NJ. It was the perfect way to start the festivities with vibrant colors, intricate henna designs, and a relaxed atmosphere for friends and family to mingle.

The energy ramped up significantly for the Sangeet at the Envue, Autograph Collection in Weehawken, NJ. If you have never been to this venue, the view is absolutely unmatched. We had the stunning New York City skyline as our backdrop for the entire evening. Watching the sun go down over the city while everyone danced the night away was one of the visual highlights of the week.

Everything culminated with the wedding day at The Rockleigh in Rockleigh, NJ. This venue is known for its grandeur and elegance, and it did not disappoint. The sheer scale of the architecture and the beautiful grounds provided endless opportunities for portraits. From the emotional ceremony to the high-energy reception, the entire day was a perfect reflection of Chandani and Dharmin’s love for each other and their families.
