Chapter One: Intimate Vows at the Philadelphia Museum of Art
There is something incredibly powerful about stripping a wedding down to its absolute core. No massive guest list and no strict timeline to follow. Just two people, a promise, and the start of a massive adventure.
That is exactly what Jin and Kalvin decided to do.
When they first told me about their wedding plans, I knew this was going to be something unique. Instead of a single traditional day, they chose to celebrate their marriage over the course of several months. Their journey would take them camping, skiing through the snowy peaks of the Swiss Alps, and relaxing on tropical beaches.
But before the jet-setting began, everything started right here at home.
The first chapter of their celebration was a quiet, intimate exchange of vows inside the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It was as private as a wedding can be. The only people in attendance were Kalvin’s brother, Jin’s brother, and me.
Being one of only three witnesses to such a personal moment is a massive honor. We wandered through the galleries, using the beautiful architecture and quiet spaces to frame their story. From the minimalist white walls of the contemporary galleries to the ornate gold frames in the classic wings, the museum provided a stunning and peaceful backdrop for their vows.
It was the perfect contrast to the high-energy adventures they had planned for the months ahead. It was calm, meaningful, and completely focused on the two of them.
Jin and Kalvin, thank you for inviting me to document the beginning of this incredible journey. It was a privilege to stand there with your brothers and capture the moment it all became official.
