A Vibrant Indian Wedding at Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay
It always feels like a reunion when I get to photograph the friends of my past couples. Radhika was referred to me by one of my former brides, Dhara, which made the connection feel instant and personal from the very start. It was so special to see everything come full circle with Dhara standing by Radhika’s side as a bridesmaid and her husband, Kishan, supporting Neil as a groomsman. Having those familiar faces in the crowd added an extra layer of warmth to an already incredible celebration.
Radhika and Neil planned an extensive multi-day experience that took full advantage of everything the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay has to offer. The festivities began with a Mehndi night that set a joyful tone for the weekend. The energy continued to build on the second day with a lively Haldi ceremony in the morning, followed by a vibrant Sangeet in the evening. By the time the final day arrived, everyone was ready for the main event.
The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay is a dream venue for photography because of its location right on the Choptank River. The waterfront views are stunning at any time of day and provide a serene background that contrasts beautifully with the high energy of an Indian wedding. Radhika and Neil held their ceremony on the lawn overlooking the water, which offered a breathtaking open-air setting for their vows. The natural beauty of the river, combined with the vibrant colors of the mandap and guest attire, created some of the most memorable images of the weekend.
Thank you, Radhika and Neil, for trusting me to capture this marathon of love and tradition. It was an honor to celebrate with you and to see so many cherished friends again.
Here are a few of my favorite moments from their vibrant wedding weekend in Maryland.
